The purchasing process with us is quite simple.
Browse our Book Shelf and select the titles you would like to buy by clicking on the “Add to Cart” button at the end of each book description. Each selection will be added to your shopping cart, waiting for you to proceed to the checkout. In this respect, our purchasing process is like most online retailers. However, because our focus is on the book browsing experience our e-commerce functions are very basic.
Payment is processed through PayPal so we never collect your credit card information. Furthermore, your shopping cart only appears in the “Shopping Cart” section once you put a book in your cart. If you do not buy, there is no “Shopping Cart” link. In some cases, depending on your computer, if you put books in your cart but do not buy the books during that visit and you close your browser, your selections might not be maintained. Also, we do not have a “wish list” feature.
We wanted our purchase process to be secure and very, very simple. In fact, you do not have to register with Thinkers Recourse to buy books - just like a “bricks and mortar” bookstore - go to the cashier and pay for your books. The new Thinkers Recourse website is maintained and updated by human hands so our focus is on quality books and content, and not on tracking your spending and purchasing habits. Even so, we encourage all of our customers to register with our site so that we can stay in contact with one another and create a literary community.
